Your floor joist will dictate the way the plank run. Good choice on matte finish, it won't show dirt as bad, however I had dark wood floors, and they made me crazy. I was always cleaning them, I now have light. Sorry never heard of that brand.

Generally wood is run across the floor joist, but this dates back to when a 3/4" hardwood was installed directly on the joist with no subfloor. These days you are free to run it any direction you desire, though often running it the length of the house, which is generally across the floor joists, is still the better appearance.

We sell Betsy Ross and it's a very good quality floor. It's actually made by a group of people that split away from Anderson and it's made exactly the same way. The product is made in a prison complex by prisoners that are being taught a trade they can use upon release. This is the same thing Anderson does. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the product.

We have had this flooring for about 10 months. While it beautiful and we have had many complements on it, it is splintering badly. It’s to the point where you don’t dare walk barefoot on it for fear of getting a wood sliver in your foot. We have informed the store where we bought it and they are going to see what they can do.
