Wall light - does this exist?

Just moved into a vintage midcentury house with a modern/minimalist vibe and exposed concrete walls. In the original part of the house (circa 1950) there is no overhead lighting in 3 rooms (2 bedrooms and a den). Each of those rooms has a light switch at the door that operates 1 or 2 outlets in the room. But in at least two of the rooms, i am not excited by the idea of a floor lamp in those plugs (I won't get into the design reasons in each room --but just take my word for it that a floor lamp within reach of those plugs would ruin the flow of the room). I also don't like the idea of installing wall sconces because (1) we're trying to avoid drilling unnecessarily into the concrete wall and (2) again, having something sticking out of the walls in this space is not great for the design flow. The outlets are approximately 2 feet off the floor.

What i would like is some kind of minimalist sconce that plugs directly into the outlet but also mounts directly in the outlet. And something that sticks close to the wall. And provides a decent amount of light. Basically, like a kid's nightlight -- except something more modern and grown up. I'd also like it to provide a decent amount of light -- enough to be able to see around the room comfortable to grab something you're looking for, or enough to be able to get to and turn on a table lamp on the far side of the room.

Do plug-in self-mounted (i.e., not requiring drilling in the wall) lights exist? That don't look like construction worker lanterns?
