Which exterior color option?
We had hail damage and need to repaint our house (and replace siding, trim, fascia, garage doors...). The first picture is the original front. The second picture is the siding color which we cannot change. It is a "cedar look" vinyl that looks like a rich brown. We also cannot change the trim/fascia color as the storm only got two sides of it, so we would have to pay to have it all replaced. Our roof has been redone and is pretty close to the color in the last two pictures.
Please help choose:
1) keep the original color scheme (even the green-blue garage doors)
3) wood-look garage doors, beige shakes, blue house
4) shades of blue house/wood-look garage door
My favorite is #4 but my concerns are that it's too dark and too much color, and that the siding is more or less brown - isn't it weird to have the whole front be blue? Thanks for any help! I also need to replace the light fixtures which got smashed in the storm. My daughter was able to photoshop them back on but I would be open to a new option.

Okay, finally get through winter and all the back and forth with the insurance company. Now the fun begins. We decided on more or less doing THIS.
Except the two pairs of shutters (oh the horror of incorrectly-sized shutters) will be removed and trimmed out like the other windows. And the background color of the house will remain the dark brown it currently is. And I have not completely talked the hubby into boxing out the posts.

This is the photo I took today.
I know the board spacing is narrower than my drawing but that was just a photo-shopping rendering with no real measurement involved. Obviously things got a little wonky on those last couple boards - I think in an attempt to line up the vertical piece on the gable vent and hopefully just not finished yet. We are planning on doing the peak to the right in the same vertical siding and painted the same color (we chose Model T). Will it be obnoxious with all the vertical bits?

Just a little post to let you know how it turned out. I still wish I could get rid of the arches and I would have matched the garage doors to the front door if I had known it would come out so light, but overall we are pretty happy with it and SO glad it's finally done. I am hoping the doors match the siding well enough to make it look planned! :)
