Stamped concrete high maintenance?

Do you find that the stamped concrete is high maintenance? We were told it has to be sealed every year. Are you doing that? If so, is it a lot of work? If no, does it still look fine? Thanks for any answers you have!

We resurfaced the pool and installed new coping and waterline tile on this pool. The stamped concrete was done by the home renovation company that bought the house to sell. Generally, to maintain the color, is should be sealed every 3 to 5 years.
