What type of changes are you considering?

posting a brighter picture taken 45 degrees to the right or left of where this one was taken will show the area better.

Difficult to tell from the picture, however, depending upon how much money you can ( or want) to spend, I would explore the possibilities of widening the porch & front walkway.

My first thought as well was to widen the steps the full width of the bumpout. It would be a nice spot to add flower pots filled with seasonal flowers on either side of the door. It would be nice if you could add lights to either side of the door as well.
