elevation refresh: I hate the roof lines

Hi my wife and I bought this house last year in hopes to make it our forever home. Interior layout and space was spot on. This house was built in 1994 and in my books is a fixer upper. We redid the front entryway(almost complete), whole kitchen, foyer, powder room, laundry room... Next focus is windows as well as some curb appeal. I never loved the roof line/ elevation on this house but it is still something I can work with. I have many thoughts in my head as I am a designer but I'd like some architectural input. I am not a fan of arches and they feel dated to me so that is why I tried to eliminate the entryway arch and i'd love to do so with the picture window if it works into the design and the dormer. I'm not sure if the dormer is the right style for this house or not.(would a hipped or shed dormer be better?) I'm trying to eliminate any added brick work if possible because that is one thing I can't do myself. I wouldn't be opposed to changing the siding and attic vents but I don't want to paint the brick. any input and/or Photoshop are welcome. I'm also leaning toward 4 divided lite windows and would love dark divides from the inside, still thinking if that would look good on n the outside... ill post a before in the comments. I know these shutters need to be painted or changed. My style is transitional.
