So I've only been battling Oxalis Stricta for about four years, and it seems likely we will meet always. I used to think I would eradicate and exhaust it, and then be happy. Now I think quite differently. It was here before me, and will be after me. It will come from birds, squirrel fur, exploding pods in neighboring gardens. People's shoes. If I retained the eradicate and exhaust mind-set, I'd likely be much less happy in my garden.

I read this ( https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/pdffiles/EP/EP51400.pdf ), and realized that it's an annual minimization program, bounded by the time I have, and the practices I am able to sustain. Now I'll expect this native plant to appear, and when it does, I'll carefully remove what I can, clean up what I can, and get on with the next thing.

As a data-driven person I might keep notes on what I remove (weight of plants?) but I think that will just be a proxy for bird overflying :)
