there is a magnificent oak farm in mansfield ... it might be a source .. or a great day trip.. if you make an appointment .. do not just drop in ... the retail center is hosta and perennials.. call about trees ...

I didn't even know about the Lucas county sale - I thought I had found all the tree sales in my state :)

And don't worry Ken, I am only planning on planting 2 or 3 more. My yard mostly has large trees that I planted a few years ago, now I'm trying to add some smaller understory tree and shrubs. I've mostly sticking to Ohio natives for my understory and edges (Redbud, Serviceberry, Gray Dogwood, Rough Dogwood, Pawpaw) but I wanted a few more unusual trees. I like the Dwarf Chinkapins because they have acorns young. My Burr oaks wont have any for another 10 years.

I too was going to suggest Reeseville Ridge. Seedlings are typically on the smaller side, but they're cheap and have a huge selection of species. You can experiment and lose a few without breaking the bank. Plus, zone 4/5 so they're winter-hardy in northern climates.
