With white subway tiles you are thinking just about color, but this way you will add another material to the kitchen (and you already have a lot: white wood, brown wood, steel, granite, gree-beige walls, black glass and hadles), so I would'nt add anything new, I'd choose the same granite or steel. The fact is that because of the switches you will have to install it until the uper cabinets and it will change at all how it looks like now; if you prefer the look it has now you could put this backsplash just over the sink and the cookers (in fact it is just needed in these areas) and install at the rest a simple baseboard to protect the wall board.

i agree with Yolanda's comment. you're in danger of throwing too much at it and as for cream grout with white tiles... dont do it, trust me it will look a mess.

i agree with Yolanda, but at this point i dont think I can order the same color backsplash as the granite, and i really dont like steel for a back splash. I am only going to put a back splash over the sink area and stove. Thank you for your help.
