My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    The island is 10'-0" long - 5'-0" is cabinetry and 5'-0" is table. The width is 3'-0".

    Beautiful kitchen. Is additional support beyond the legs & apron needed for the table portion?

    Usually not, but it really depends on the material used. Most of the softer, more fragile materials come with a mesh reinforcement attached to the bottom and for this particular island, that was sufficient. Your fabricator should be able to tell you whether more support is needed for your particular situation and material selection. If in doubt, you can't really go wrong with adding more support ... it's not difficult and it's cheap insurance.
