As a break from the basement flooding woes, I have a machine on the kitchen table and when I need some stress relief, it is getting a workout. Insurance adjuster comes today for his assessment of the damage.

Well, it looks like I'll have another 3-day weekend, thanks to Irma. In any case, everything planned for the weekend has been cancelled, so as long as I have power I'll probably be sewing! And I have several hand-work projects if the power is out, as long as I can get enough light from a window. :)

I'm tackling my first quilting job this weekend. I will be using a walking foot. The two quilts I've made were quilted by check, so this will be a learning experience.

I hope to get to my machine this weekend. I need to work on an applique row for my neighborhood guild meeting next week (we had all summer to get it done and I haven't started yet ...) We have an event at the university tonight and Sunday morning our Lions club is serving a pancake breakfast for a walk, so that will take a little time. No big excuses - just procrastination!

I'm busy all day tomorrow, but hope to get a little quilting done on DD's quilt. I'm also moving all fabric from the second floor to the basement, but I'll get everyone in the family to make some trips.
