Need Help with Kitchen Shades

I have3 large windows at the sink in my kitchen. My first pick was to have natural wood blinds,but they came in over my budget since I have the entire house to do. 2nd choice is the double honeycomb shades in all the designer colors. I know I will like them in all of the house, but was wondering if it was ok in a wet area also????

First, I love your kitchen, and I'd also consider not using any window treatment and doing another room that really needs a treatment.
My second opinion would be to use a Hunter Douglas roller shade which would compliment your style.
As far as having the whole house to do, I'd do one room at a time and do exactly what you really want. Sometimes when you skimp or don't do what your heart tells you, you're sorry, and end up living with something you don't love.
Have someone measure your windows and help you with selections, then do a little at a time. Classic design always and having the right treatment always wins in the end.

What about bamboo matchstick blinds? They come in different shades. (Pun unintended; sorry) They'll also let in filtered light.

The windows are so light and beautiful, the match sticks, or anything flush at the top of the window would work. I love the way it looks now.

My neighbor used exterior shades that operates with a button on the inside of the house. When they are up, you can't see them from inside the house. We live in San Diego, so that may only work in warm climates.

Do you need window coverings here? You seem to have good privacy with landscaping but of course I can't see the view into the kitchen from your neighbors property - unless direct sun would be in your eyes while working . . .lovely as is.

Love your kitchen and unless privacy or direct sunlight is an issue I would leave them as is.

I Like them without blinds also, but the wonderful afternoon sun beats in strongly.

gosh, if you don't need window treatments for the privacy factor than don't do anything on them, they are so beautiful as is....

P.S. honeycomb not recommend because you have a faucet right above the window and they will get wet and dirty, I have this problem with my plantations but at least those I can wipe easily since they are wood.

If it is the sun that bothers you, I definitely vote for matchstick blinds. You can still have some view outside (or even roll them up when not required) and they do a great job of blocking harsh sunlight but still allowing light in
