I'm having a really tough in thinking about a similar thing..

Are the doors double doors? Why two screens? Would love to see a photo of both doors opened and both doors closed.

I know I don’t like the beaded board going down the stairs and then on the opposite wall in the entry…makes no sense visually.

No seasonal wreath..

Those are beautiful tiles but its something that we would probably get tired of and on top of that a rug will also be needed to wipe feet off ,its too much of the good thing .

I'd add an indoor/outdoor rug, a bench under the mirror and turn the mirror vertically. Buy 2 rugs, so that when one is being washed you can put down the other...Best Wishes.

The raised ranch is due for an update. If you want to keep the beadboard then paint it white and the stair risers and balusters also. That will allow you to keep the oak banister. Time to replace the stained glass in the doors with just a colonial grid. Might be time to get ride of the gold wall paint as the entry is dark, dark.

Are you open to changing the light fixture? Or swapping out for white glass shades? The current amber shades cast a yellow hue that makes the space appear drab. This wouldn't be an expensive change (I don't know your budget), but would have a noticeable brightening impact on your entry. We have a split foyer as well and have put down slate floors with in floor heating which is absolutely marvellous in the winter. The snow simply disappears !

We use the front door all the time and so I have a pine shelf with hooks for coats. I have a little more space than you so there is room as well for a bench or table or nothing as the fancy strikes me. I also have a freestanding coat rack that I use when we are expecting extra company and need additional coat storage.

Oh and we recently updated our light fixture as well and went with this one from Home Depot.
