Bathroom Lighting...HELP!

Dear Houzz,

I'm not sure what to do for new lighting! I've got a new, smaller dresser that I'm converting into a vanity (glass top) and a top-mounted bowl sink with the faucet mounted on the wall. I want the sink on the left side of the vanity so there's room on the right (also where it lines up with current plumbing) and the mirror centered on the vanity. Not sure what to do with the lighting! I know it's best to have task lighting on either side to prevent shadows, but there isn't a lot of room for that at the wall corner. Should I just get something to go on top? Or both (like the example photo attached)

And in that case, the rope is kind of in the way. Should I mount the mirror sans-rope?

So many decisions!

Thanks for any advice!
