Was there any type of privacy treatment used with this window treatment?

because of where this particular room is situated, privacy is not an issue, so there is nothing else. However, it would be very easy to mount a shade or blind behind this type of treatment that could be lowered for privacy and would disappear behind this valance when not needed. Just would have to be planned for: enough projection on the valance to allow space behind for a shade.
