As an FYI, I believe that for Bosch the warranty begins on purchase date, not delivery or install date. At least that's the cutoff for eligibility for the extended warranty plan.

I'm aware and not overly concerned.

I would be concerned because things don't always go according to plan. Additionally, Bosch runs continual promotions. We worried about losing the last one, and this one came up.

Cpartist, what series did you get? I have to replace my old one. Plus, my 20 year old sub zero is on its last leg ( icing up in corner of refrigerator section ). Repair guy won't repair it because he can't guarantee it because of its age and other things that are starting to wear on it. I guess I'll replace it with another sub zero, but the price is crazy.

In our situation, our lease here expires at the end of April, by hook or by crook we will be moving. Not much choice in the matter and we lucked out to get an extension on the lease. Our rebate comes to a bit over $800, that will cover about 50% of the new counter height stools we just bought for the kitchen island from Pier One Imports. We're going to pull the trigger on the appliances in November. That way we are guaranteed to get the rebate and IF another doesn't come up and we didn't buy them, well we are out $850. Not going to happen!
