Congratulations on your home purchase and for being financially responsible! I found it very helpful to make cutouts of my furniture with butcher paper and really play around with different configurations. It really helped me to walk around and feel what it would be like with that furniture in the actual space. With this layout, I think you might consider placing your TV in the corner between the two windows (avoiding the usual placement of placing it along the wall when you walk in the front door). Other than that, your layout gives you a lot of options. Do you already have furniture you will be moving in or are you buying new?
