Am I the only one that finds the white of the ceiling way to harsh? Wouldn't a soft off white complete the room a lot better, than this harsh icy white? Maybe it is not so bad in reality? Pictures don't always portray colors right.

Love the piece above your sofa, although believe it is too small. Purchase another one of the same piece and hang both centered above the sofa. Agree with the comments to place an end table and lamp where you were planning on hanging the other piece of art.

I think the colors of the piece and the wall are both dark. Something in lighter colors would go better ( and bigger like everyone else said)
