How much water? How long ago did this happen?

To answer your question, yes, many people have dealt with this. My sister in law had a leaking ice maker line ruin her fairly new solid hickory wood flooring.

If it's new installation, and the contractor screwed up, they might have to fix it for free, including the floor. If it's not new/defective but something just failed, call your home insurance, you might have some coverage there.

It happened in August, and I have a new dishwasher in now, that doesn't leak. (dishwasher was only 3 years old!)

The kitchen was done in 2012, but I really don't want to have to replace my lovely cabinets. There must be a way to get under them.

If they are full of drawers, you can pull them out, of course. Other than that there is really no way in without cutting the bottom out of the cabinet.

Probably should (carefully) pull the counter top off, remove cabinet(s) and inspect/clean/dry/replace flooring as necessary. If the subfloor is wet it's not going to get any better unless you really go after it.

Doing all I can. Looks I will lose a min. two cabinets. Heartbroken.

It was addressed. As soon as we found the leak, beginning of Sept., we turned off the dishwasher.
