Which bedding do you like?

Hi, this is my guest room I have just painted. Trying to decide which bedding I like better. I think I'm leaning towards one but would love to hear what you guys think. Sorry about the Minnie Pearl look but I'm not committed to anything yet so the tags are a hanging!

    The birds are winning!!!

    They sure are olldbobbi!

The birds, like Ed said, simpler, cleaner, and I'll add more crisp and airy. The other makes me feel like I can't breathe.

you need some lighter furniture or accessories its very dark .would buy a nice simple rug around the bed with light colors in it anda bigger picture or series of nature pictures above the bed id also buy one or two throw pillows in the blue or yellowish color on the other wall to pop the bedding

The headboard was thrift store, spray painted. I could lighten it up.

am1121, I like the headboard! It goes well with the trunk at the end of the bed. The bedside tables are another story. Can they be spray painted?
The tables still have tags on them. One of the things I'm trying to figure out. What would look good?

If you're going with the birds, and you're keeping the headboard the way it is now, then I'd suggest a painted table the white or off-white in your comforter, or depending on your budget, perhaps one of these: [houzz=

Be careful not to mix your woods too much, and if you can, keep your tables from matching. Instead make them similar.

I saw some mirrored nightstands similar in Tuesday Morning yesterday for $199. The two I have there now are really outdoor tables but cheap at TJ MAxx. What don't you like about them? A little scared of the white bedding, when the kids come with the grand babies they aren't always so careful of the hands!

Actually, if you could spray paint the ones you have with a chrome spray paint you'd probably be ok. The ones you have now don't fit the style of your room, IMO, sorry.

UPDATE: Here is the new room. I went against popular vote, I know why ask:), and went with the paisley. Shopped my attic and spray painted side tables (olldbobbi, metallic as you suggested), chairs, mirror. Tried to tone down the busyness of the paisley. Just loved the colors in it vs the bird bedding. Still brought in the birds, peacock pic, finials on drapes. Curtains are from my sunroom (wanted floor to ceiling in there), fireplace/tv stand from master bdrm which is being redone as well. Vanity table from attic as well. Think I need to hang pic higher and get a stand up mirror or reattach mirrors that were on it. Still tweaking, what do you guys think?

Arrghh! This is the one I keep trying to get on!
Last try. It keeps cropping out the sides. Ill try turning it.

I voted for the bird bed it has more space for me to stretch out in morning.

If I knew how to delete the extra pics I would. Turned out they just looked cropped out.

I liked the paisley too; I think it gives you more options to tie one of the colors in to other decorating elements, and the picture isn't specific .. like a bird.

Hey astraea, I knew there had to be someone out there who liked the paisley. Woo hoo!
The toned down version is lovely. Nice job!

Am1121, I wonder why the mirror is painted to almost blend in with the color of the paint on the wall..? Imho, I think it would be more impressive if it were painted to match the headboard, and in so doing, it would be in contrast to the wall.. Just a thought. The rest looks lovely..

Hey Debra. It has a story. I painted it originally to go above the desk on the beige wall, then I didn't like it there. So I swapped with the red chandy pics. I had black close to the bed in big frames, too much black. May still be swapped again, still haven't patched all the holes I've made. :)

    Meant to add

The birds draw my eyes to the gorgeous wall. The paisley draws my eyes to the lost matching carpet. If it were me, I'd want to accentuate the walls. Also, the birds brighten up the room, while paisley darkens it a bit. The other one you posted feels older, more traditional to me. I'm more transitional, so it didn't appeal to me at all. Let us know whatcha choose!

I meant ALMOST matching carpet...not LOST. Darn spell correct!

Doc. I was wandering how my carpet got lost. Ha. Thanks for looking.
