It must be a matching bertazonni (spelling) hood as it has the logo. Gosh it's SUCH a handsome thing.

Beautiful kitchen Karen. Was there any kind of sealer or color enhancer used on your counters after they were honed? I am trying to get the look of a charcoal gray counter top and some honed absolute black looks gray in pictures and some looks more black. Guess it could also be the pictures and lighting too.
I know you are so happy with your kitchen!!!
    Thanks

I had honed black absolute granite in my last kitchen. Everything showed, but eventually faded. I always kept a towel on hand to wipe up spills immediately. I got used to it, but I won't use it again.

Thank you all for the kind compliments - I DO love my kitchen! I haven't had any problems with the honed absolute, I find that marks wipe away easily. Wiping the counter dry when cleaning it helps a lot. Mine hasn't scratched, and there are no stains (2 1/2 years later). I like the patina it's acquiring. I didn't seal mine, on the advice of my fabricator. I think some of the problems that people experience happen when it's been sealed.
