Bonjour Emily Nichols Grossi !! Congratulations and welcome to the Lacanche family. Either colour is going to offer a very different feel in the Kitchen. While Ardoise is so beautiful, it is quite new to the US Market, so there aren't too many photos yet on hand. If you'd like to see a few install photos of the Faience, however, please let me know at Blair@frenchranges.com and I'll be happy to send them on. The beauty of porcelain enamel is that it will truly take on its own personality and undertone, given its accompanying trim, surroundings, lighting, painting, etc. All in all offering to a truly custom look. Despite the love of the gray issue, it's too much like stainless you could have for $$ less. If you're going to have a thing..... HAVE it: ) was my point. It's a very "good" heavy lol.

Thanks, Diana. Our cabinets and trim are Decorator's White. Backsplash is a honed carrara herringbone (1x2) and counters are Silestone Eternal Statuario with the sueded finish. Thinking either BM Coventry Gray or BM Chimichurri for walls.

Sounds beautiful, Emily! With all that lovely gray neutral background, I'd suggest that you add some color in your accessories--curtains, rugs, pottery, artwork, vases, plants, lamps, etc.

Oh yes! I have a fabulous fabric for a roman shade above the window over the sink (which is a huge, three-panel window) and some marvelous artwork and lighting fixtures. I'm not at all a kitchen minimalist so there is always fresh fruit and flowers everywhere. :) Thank you!

Hi Sarah, We love our range!! The Lacanche folks offer excellent advice re: burner layout and BTU load. I am glad we did what they suggested. Definitely use your French plate for all low-heat needs like rice, sauces, and such.
