Are you quilting this weekend? Oct. 6-8

Hello quilters! It is a gloomy day here in central Ohio. It will be a good day to stay in and sew. I still haven't started the quilts for my grandsons but I am working on the Christmas quilt for their mother. I keep getting distracted by other projects. I would love to make a pumpkin quilt with Bonnie Hunter's pattern in Quiltmaker magazine. I have pulled fabrics for it. I guess I will have to wait and see what I will actually work on this weekend! lol

Happy Anniversary, Bev!

No sewing for me. We are traveling today from Boston back to Colorado after 10 days of leaf-peeping in MA, Maine, and New Hampshire. Went by Keepsake Quilting (and lots of other shops) but didn't get to stop at any of them because we were traveling with friends from Germany. It just about killed me to not bop him on the head and take over the car, but DH said I would survive. What does he know!??? I'll get even. I plan a big shop at Mary Jo's in Gastonia on my way to the retreat Wednesday!

Due to TS Nate it's supposed to be rainy in FL this weekend. I have a handbell rehearsal from 9-1 tomorrow, but tomorrow afternoon and Sunday are free, so hopefully I can get motivated to sew something! I really should clean the house, though. :/

44 years of wedded bliss today, so am having a relaxing weekend. Heading up for some quilting right now and then out for an early dinner at some point. We've already been out for breakfast...LOL.

No, I'm still on the lookout for my next project. I'm either going to take a break from quilting temporarily and do some rug-making or maybe I'll do a small art quilt project, haven't gotten in the mood to decide yet though. Donna, don't fret about your lack of energy for quilting, this happens to me, too, just go with the flow, it will eventually come back to you gangbusters.

I hope to continue working on the quilt I'm trying to get completed. I seem to do a little bit, set it down and do something else, pick it up again and do a little bit......etc. :-) But, it's almost ready for quilting and that works for me. Potholders, I want to make a lot more potholders to give out at Christmas time.

Thank you, ladies. We had a delicious Italian dinner. I got four hours of quilting done yesterday and figure I have another 4-6 hours to finish quilting DDs quilt. YEAH! Can't wait to be done. Hopefully this weekend.

Finished quilting. Only took 2.5 hours and made binding. Trimmed this morning before church, hope to bind this afternoon. I feel like I'm holding my breath, this has taken a lot of hours. I wish I had kept track. I have an angiogram tomorrow, so I wanted to finish this before I went in.

Good luck tomorrow Bev!

The bird has been trussed and is cooking away. I hate doing work at the last minute so this year am trying something different, for me anyway. You all have probably done this but the potatoes are cooked, mashed and in a casserole ready to pop into the oven for a short cooking time. The squash/pineapple, (a new recipe for me) is also waiting for its warmup.

Companywill arrive about noon with dinner around 3.

and I hate saying this, but I will be glad when it is over.

Happy belated anniversary, and good luck at the doctor, Bev.

I got the binding sewn on Tim's quilt, then packed up and put everything in the van so I didn't have to do it in the rain today. So no more sewing for me till Wed.

Sue, that's a bummer that you had to pass those shops! I've heard a lot about Mary Jo's...I'd probably be in big trouble in there!

I loaded and quilted DH's Allietare quilt yesterday! Woohoo! Next weekend I'll put binding on it. For a while I've been floating tops on my frame and having issues with the bottom edge rippling. With this one I rolled the top on its bar, and it seemed to go much better. I think my take up roller is bowed in the center a bit. :( I'm going to make new leaders out of sturdier fabric, too.
