Any updates on the Big Chill Classic? I'm so concerned about the lack of information about it that I'm thinking I might sacrific some looks and just go for a cheaper Cafe Series range instead.

Still waiting just ordered the big chill stove.

I have had the Classic a bit more than 2 years and continous problems with the igniter burning out and the oven not holding the heat. This was a problem with many before I made my purchase and I was told it was fixed. It is very frustrating.Does anyone else have issues?

I have had my 48 in classic Big chill for over 6 months. This is truly a showstopper that is American made. This was the ONLY item that arrived on time during our covid remodel. I have been impressed so far. Knock on wood. If something were to need attention Big Chill was very responsive and picked up the phone!

I have had a Big Chill 36” gas range and oven for 2 1/2 years. As I am writing this comment there is yet another repairman in my kitchen fixing it. First it was the convection fan, then the oven burner element, now the igniters for both oven and broiler. Of course now I’m off warranty so this week’s repair is costing me almost $800. I love the look of the appliance but would never buy again. And, apart from continuing problems with oven performance, the stove top burners heat very unevenly and the stove top is a real pain to keep clean.

I have had continous Big Chill problems with the igniter, convection is out, only used a few times. I have learned that "Candice" from Big Chill should have responded differently to my call asking why the big "explosion" sound when the overn was heating up happened quite a few times the first year. Many of my issues should have been dealt with differently as I think I was sold a 'lemon". I have the classic, and yes, love the look but one would think that when the company sells such an expensive stove they would be accountable for the same continous issues that still happen. I have been bounced around so much that unless they replace it or refund in full plus the expenses of repair, that I may look into a legal attempt to make things right. The video of the inventer making claims as to the brilliance of these products and SO MANY having the exact same contonous issues they wouild be responsible and fix the problems, or stop selling until they do. Five igniter in 4 years, catalyic converter gone, and more!
