Our home was built in the 1970s and we presently have our laundry hooked up so that the lint hose runs into a utility sink (see example image). This is not very pleasing to the eye. Hoping to upgrade to a newer hookup with outlet box (second image). We are unclear on if this is something we can do ourselves or if we should have a 1) plumber or 2) contractor out to do it. Any advice? Thank you!
