Not like any pineapple flower I've ever seen, unless somebody removed the pineapple @ the top of the stalk...?

It doesn't look like a flower stalk to me either...Imine usually is way shorter than yours, but I'd let it go and see if anything comes out of the very tip...

Looks like it's in way too much shade as well. That could account for the extended stalk (not stock :-)) - it is etiolated seeking more sun.

This stock just popped up in the last week or so. And yes, it's in too much shade. I was waiting to move it to a sunny spot when the weather cooled out a bit when I noticed that shoot.
