really can not advise except in general, since there are no pics. most ignore the upper half of the room. the accent wall is no longer being used unless you really want one. please provide pics if you would like more specific.

I would paint the room all 1 color. Take everything down from the bulkheads. Do not put anything up there as it draws the eye up. Take pictures down from over slider also. Declutter the ladder shelves. Use some of the larger items you are taking off the bulkheads on the shelves. Use the blues from the art over the sofa for pillows & a throw. I would also get a rug.
