Question - are you needing the storage?

I would consider how often two people will be using the shower at the same time. If you regularly shower together go for the larger shower, but if it is just an occasional thing go for the smaller and reap the benefit of the extra storage. When it comes to resale not everybody likes double showers, but everybody likes extra storage.

1500 mm wide should comfortably allow two averaged sized friendly people to shower together ...450mm deep storage is a good depth for linen and 600mm is usual for wardrobes so you have plenty of space for a double shower as well as some useful storage...i suggest that 2200mm is too wide for a shower unless there are separate shower heads and taps on either side

Okay, two things to consider then

1. How often will you both actually need the shower at the same time?

2. Will having that cupboard make a huge difference for your storage?

If the answers are probably never and yes - make it a single shower and get the cupboard.

If the answers are every day and no - keep the large shower (you can always get a free standing storage option after)

If the answer is every day and yes - perhaps consider a different layout for your double shower that may make it smaller.

jojoemetoo, the double shower in my last house was 1.8m long with shower heads each end. The door opened in the middle, which was an inconvenience if two of us were using it. Our current double shower is 2.2m long, and we opted for a sliding door, which makes it much better.

Just to elaborate, the middle-placed door opened inward, so one of us had to scoot out of way and redirect shower head when the other person was entering or exiting.

Yes you can, that's what we have now.

To be honest, we were quite happy with the 1.8 and if we'd had the sliding door we couldn't have faulted it at all.

It just so happened there was room in our current bathroom for the 2.2m which is the only reason we ended up with a longer shower!

A suggestion, 1800 single shower, with walk in shower ( no door, single piece of frameless glass 1200 long, 600 opening

Double showers look luxurious in display homes but it's not a feature I have ever thought yes, how useful, I want that. In fact I always wonder, when someone uses the washbasin while I am showering the water temperature fluctuates so when using double showers do you need to coordinate turning them on and off to avoid someone get a blast of hot or cold?

I definitely like extra storage.
