I've had this in two gardens now and think it needs at least a good weekly watering. Last summer's drought, with the drastically limited watering, really stunted it's growth and blooms this year. Having said this, I think it can get too much water.

Thanks for good feedback. I noted it's requirement for good drainage. I was hoping it was *really* drought tolerant because I want to site it between Trichostema lanatum, the famously difficult Wooly Blue Curls. I really don't have any other place to put it, so I guess I'll just have to be ultra careful about the Wooly neighbor on each side. They are a short three feet away. So hopefully they will all thrive if I'm careful.
