I'm currently doing a complete remodel of a single level ranch built in 1952. We are modernizing it and have changed the floor plan to open up to living space in the back of the house. However I want to be sure to keep the charm of this 50s ranch.

We'll be painting get the inside all white with wood stained windows and wood floors. 8' ceilings. Our style is mid-century modern.

The current doors on the house are old all wood 3 panel shakers. I need purchase new doors for some rooms and would like to update everything. Thinking about a more modern 2 panel shaker but wondering if that's the right decision. 3 panel seems too busy but slab door feels maybe too modern.
