I am wondering - What are some considerations when selecting and installing a direct vent gas fireplace on a non-perimeter wall. Is it even possible? If it has to vent through the ceiling as I've read, how difficult is this to achieve? Is it safe?

I am purchasing a 20's bungalow, and there is no existing fireplace, but there is an existing gas line.

Vent free fireplace is not something I'm considering at this time.

Any advice is appreciated. Sorry I don't have photos of the space to share yet!
