Design Dilemma Before & After Kitchens

My husband and I are in a debate over whether to remodel our existing small kitchen or swap the kitchen and dining rooms. The current kitchen sink is against the exterior of the wall facing our pool. I want our home to have as much indoor-outdoor flow as possible, so I'd much prefer to have a large sliding glass door there instead (currently we have to go through the guest bedroom to access the pool, or a side door and go around the house).

We also need help with designing a deck to connect the house with the pool area.

Photos would be of great help. Certainly, you don't want to have to pass through a guest bedroom for a number of reasons: your own and resale. Photos of angles and different spaces you are describing would be of great help to Houzzer's.

Post some photos so we can give you more specific advice. Also bear in mind that there may be substantial additional cost to swap the kitchen/dinning room locations as you will have to re-route all of the plumbing and venting.
