So I see no colorful piece in this space but you seem to have quite a lot of space so why not another matching chir and put them where the covered sofa is now. If there is a pattern in the chair maybe a close up of the chair would help. I usually use shag rugs for texture and color where there are other patterns in the space .You need some art for sure and a proper place for the T.V so a floor plan would help us envision the whole space.

I have a few rugs here. if any appeal let me know, or say you do not like and i can pitch them. these threads tend to get very full.

I think your chair is a little small for a living room. I would start with a rug you love in any color. If your going to keep the wall color though, keep some warm tones in it. Then curtains, side tables, TV stand, art for walls.
