Thanks for writing. The cladding we used on the house is a concrete brick, commonly used for retaining walls in commercial applications. The side that is commonly used has a texture that mimics stone, but we used the "back" side of the brick, which is smooth. The brick is made by the Alley-Cassetty Company. The rest of the surfaces are Georgia granite, and poured in place concrete. Please feel free to write if you have any other questions.

We are building in Oklahoma and are interested in learning more about the grey brick - we don't seem to find it on Alley-Cassetty Co. Can you give any more detail of the make/color/size? The house that you designed is gorgeous - I wish we lived closer and could drive by to see it in person!

Thank you for your kind words. The availability of products varies by market, so this particular product may not be available in Oklahoma.

I believe we used a "graphite" colored "Utility sized" Prariestone product, from Mutual Materials.

It is commonly used in commercial applications, and is widely available in Atlanta. We used the back side of the product, not the "face". This is a concrete product and will have to be sealed.

I recommend you, your architect and builder spend some time with your local brick and masonry product supplier finding a solution that works best for you.
