Color Help!

Hi everyone - I have a small condo with a living room that opens to the kitchen. All permanent fixtures and walls are neutral so I have been trying to add color without adding drapes. I am having trouble deciding where to add color and which colors I should concentrate on. I was going for colorful but sophisticated and I think I am in the "too girlie" zone! HELP!

Start with an area rug you love that is full of colors you can live with. Use that as the basis for all you do to add color in this space. Check you closet and take inspiration from the outfits you get the most compliments on, unless they're all black or brown! lol

An area rug that has teal or blue or turquoise in it would be nice with your furniture and with the colour of the floor.
Another option will be to choose for a light neutral area rug with beiges and/or grey tones in it. You can then add colourful pillows to your sofa and chair and even change the colours per season.

Add some colorful artwork and then draw on that palette for your accessories & pillows. Here's a piece I did last year...it definitely gives a few options for color! :-)

For what it's worth. Your room isn't that girlie it's actually fairly masculine with all that leather so you could maybe stand to come halfway a bit.
