Return policy says unopened, can you clarify?

I'm interested in this couch but am concerned about the return policy just in case we do not like it in our space. Please clarify what unopened means. Is it referring to the protective plastic or shipping material the couch comes in?
Also, how is the couch shipped/delivered if there is no assembly required?
