Impressive camellia this year

My camellia "Snow Flurry" is having one of the best years ever. This fall-blooming variety always has lots of buds, but cold weather often ruins the buds before they can all bloom. But this year, the mild weather has allowed most of them to bloom. There are easily over 1,000 buds, and at least 600 have bloomed or are in bloom now. This is also one of the hardiest Camellias, easily surviving zone 6. The clusters of buds around open blooms are easily visible.

Beautiful, Bill! What a treat. You remind me of the Texans who plant peonies knowing that once every decade they might get enough winter cold snaps to make it all worthwhile. Wonderful photos!

Thank you all. Babs, no they are not scented. Like most camellias, none of mine are, not even the spring blooming ones. There a few scented varieties but none are hardy in zone 6, as far as I know.

Deannatoby, they do bloom every year, so they are definitely worthwhile, but this year is better than most.
