I visited Old World Wisconsin this year. It is a very large outdoor living history museum. While visiting one of the historic farmsteads, I saw what looked like an enormous angelica gigas in the garden. This is a plant I have only seen photos of. I asked the docent / interpreter and she told me it indeed was. She invited me to pick as much as I wanted as it would swallow up their whole herb garden anyway if it wasn’t picked. I asked about uses and she told me one of the farm supervisors made some kind of candy or tea from it that then they would display in the house kitchens. She did not have recipes and knew there were medicinal uses but not what those were.

I brought some home and dried it. How would I use this? Thanks!
