sonia c's post, [Best Kitchen Feature you have[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/best-kitchen-feature-you-have-dsvw-vd~4956896), made me think about the things that are not hard fixtures in our kitchen that make working in our kitchen easier/better. Most of these ideas were found here as I read through hundreds of threads. There are older posts of this nature, but a new thread would be fun.

My list:

• Step stools: Inexpensive. Functional. Convenient. We have two hanging on the inside of the doors on each of our sink cabinets. We installed 3M self-adhesive hooks to hold them.
• Anti-fatigue gel floor mat in front of the prep island
• Stainless Steel Compost Pail: we opted to only put one insinkerator in the kitchen (clean-up sink) and to use a compost pail under the prep sink.
• Sink caddy: we have e-granite sinks and suctions cups won't hold onto that material, so I ordered rare-Earth magnets to hold it in place.
• Towelphante - holds the dish cloth. I couldn't find the infamous Towel Pig, but I did find an elephant!
