I would like to purchase new doors and windows for my house and shop. The roof is brown/grey. The eaves/facia/soffit are brown. They do not need replacing.

I am wondering what colour windows/doors to go with and then would paint garage doors on house and garage doors and shutters on the detached shop.

I really like black as I think it would update the house but wondering if too dark and perhaps a dark brown would look better.

Would also like to add a timber frame entrance at front step.
