Trane XR80 question

Hello!
My home is equipped with a Trane XR80 furnace. I will be switching out my gas water heater soon and may need to shut the gas off to the entire house while doing so. The warning sticker on the furnace says that it is an automatic system. After I turn the gas back on, do I need to do anything for the furnace to operate correctly (anything with a pilot light, etc.) or will it do everything "automatically"?

I believe the Trane XR80 furnace has no standing pilot. There should no need to do anything once the gas is turned back on.

Your hot water heater should have its own gas shut off valve. If it does not then this would be a perfect time to install one. The furnace should also have its own shut off valve as well as all the gas appliances in the house.
