Dye transfer help!

I did a load of laundry tonight and unbeknownst to me, someone had dumped a pair of deep purple pants into the machine.. Long story short, I had a pair of Roots salt and pepper coloured sweatpants that are now pink salt and pepper.. in splotches. Is there any way to save them? They went through the dryer before I noticed the splotches, so I'm not sure what to do now; I just have them soaking in some water.

I read online about Oxiclean but the care label says no bleach.. what should I do?

Don't use a bleach, get a color catcher product of some kind - there are various including ones specifically made for removing dye runs. You don't have to keep them wet until you can use that product, but don't heat them again - no dryer, no hot wash. You may have to use a remover product more than once, and it may not get it all out, but I've had pretty good luck. (I don't know what brands you can get so I'm not recommending anything specific. I don't think they vary that much anyway.)
