i dont mind the art for your location in FL but it's too large. do you rent this out or is this to please yourself?

I would not put anything above the bed IMO those pieces are always too high

If you do put something there, I wouldn't put a mirror. It's bad for your sleeping.

Thanks, it is for rental for 2 months of the year. We are there for 5 months. Curious to ask why you were inquiring about that. Of course we don’t want to put an original piece. I will try taking the pic down and see what it looks like.
I am a bit of a mirror- aholic. I do like mirrors. Is it bad Feng Shui to put it over the bed or is just in case it falls?

i asked because in a FL rental, people expect to see tropical art, whereas if its only your own use, you could do any kind of art that pleases you. our beach house has this on the master wall, i'm sure if we rented the house out folks would scratch their heads.

i have no opinions on feng shui, i just always feel like i'll get bonked on the head during the night. we solved the "problem" by having an ornate carved and painted screen bolted to the wall as a head board instead of art. i dont think it will fall off the wall.. but now you have me wondering... ; )

The mirrors behind the lamps idea... hmmmm. I’ll give it a try. The bedding is not really tropical, but I like the navy. I have been looking for a panoramic picture of sailboats with a navy in it to give a Florida vibe.

I think a trio of distressed shutters in various sizes and tones of blue from the quilt would be cool for a Florida home. I feel the bulkhead throws this off a bit and is what makes the existing picture look too big. So I also wonder is a picture rail across that whole wall would led itself to some neat options maybe even between the side tables and the bed etc. here are some examples

Hello. And it is pleasant to me very much how this picture looks. I would not begin to change it.

We just received this today as an option for another client. Slightly nautical feel to it, contemporary look, dimensions: 9x21 (image), 22x30 (full paper). Other options in this series exist if you like this one but not this exact piece.

Hi, since your bed is curved, anything rectangular or square will look off. So in this case, I'd just take that too-large-anyway picture down and replace it with... bare wall. I would also remove the highest pillows, so one can see the beautiful head of the bed.

Since that should be the natural focal point and the two lampstands already compete with it, I wouldn't place anything else there. In fact: I would find a thrift store for those pineapple lamps and find me some less intruding ones. Something in the sleek style of those silvery lines of the head of the bed.

It is bad feng shui to have mirrors over the bed- just read the article yesterday but, of course can't find it now. I would not do any artwork on this wall. Your headboard and linens are very attractive on their own. One thought that hasn't been mentioned is perhaps painting the wall or enclave area behind the bed in a coordinating color?

Ok I’ll get rid of those euro pillows. I’ve never considered the headboard to be a focal point. But I see that now. And the lamps, .... I thought about whitewashing them to update., but they might pop too much against the gold of the wall. Thanks for all the great ideas.
