Yes, it’s one fruit tree everybody seems to grow here. There’s an amazing selection of varieties at the local home center. I’ve even seen them growing wild with fruit!

But I just don’t really find them appealing. Maybe I should try to develop a taste for what seems like no-care fruit!

My girlfriend and I just tried our first firm ripe persimmons, probably a fuyu. I really like them and she says she likes them better than apples (I don't agree). I think I might put in a couple in a single hole planting this spring.

I cannot tell you how envious I am about your bountiful fuyu crop. I’m on my 4th tree in Houston TX, not dead yet but not exactly thriving

Bossy, this is a Spanish Persimmon. A must have variety, nice and big, very pretty too.

Yovan, yes your zone is not good for those unless you have a greenhouse.
