I searched for large mail box, and about half way down the page I saw the perfect solution. Someone had mounted an old microwave oven on a post! Probably doesn't meet USPS standards, though. ;-) Didn't see anything like the Australian one.

You might check with the Post Office to see if they have vendors for special units like in apartment buildings and offices.

Amazon has their own package lockers. If it's easier, though, you can pick up at FedEx and UPS stores, and Walgreens now has package pickup in some stores (here in Philly, anyway). I don't know which shippers they support. Then there's the problem that sometimes you don't know how the package will come and can't specify.

You are definitely going to want to check the guidelines over at USPS. I'm not sure this will qualify and I know for a fact no mail carrier will toss a package over a fence.

Sorry for the late reply. We just noticed this thread. Deliver-Eze ships quite a few parcel mailboxes to the USA (via DHL express), and the strong US dollar means our high quality package drops are affordable in the US. They can be used as "wall mount" mailboxes which do not require USPS certification, so our units are compliant with the USPS requirements per the link by miss lindsey.
