Design Dilemma Dining Room

rug dilemma, need suggestions

I have been debating for long about what color rug would look good for my dining room. So far narrowed it down to yellow solid with black border. I need your comments , suggestions and advise please, I really appreciate any input. Thanks

You don't need to keep repeating the same colors, especially colors (like yellow and black) that are so contrasted. There is already so much yellow in the room, i think it would be overdone in the rug. Look for a traditional gray rug that will complement without overpowering.

Do you want a rug that looks like a bumblebee? I doubt it. Get a gray rug, pulling the color from the chairs. Gray and yellow compliment each other well.

There wouldn't be anything wrong with simple color rug and that way chair pattern is focal point. .See idea in pictures I got from google images for rug ideas.
