How interesting! If you weren't going to put a mirrored wall below the TV, I would have suggested a really ornate silver mirror above the desk to turn it into a vanity and maybe some hurricane lamps on either side. Also, you could put some skirting around a bench for the vanity (in silver lame or something). But since you have the mirror covered, I would suggest a really cool piece of Art Deco art on the wall.

I'd look for a more glamorous paint color than white or off-white.

I have some hurricane lamps at home that resemble candles with crystals hanging down from the base, but I couldn't find similar lamp pictures online. I went to Bing images and searched for Hollywood glamour dressing rooms, because that is what your room brings to my mind. Anyway, I found some pictures for you. I love the mirror in the last picture and the lamps in the other pictures. Be sure to post updates. Can't wait to see it when you get done.

Great so far! I would add an accent wall that features an interesting pattern or a deep colour. I would also add a small coffee table over the rug.

unfortunately I dont have an accent wall to paint. The only open wall is the one which is having a mirror installed today. I could paint the area above the vanity (on the other wall) but the vanity mirror will take up most of that space....suggestions? I am looking for a coffee table to go over the rug...but what style and shape?

btw the walls behind the curtain and vanity are white but we added paint crystals to it so they are actually sparkly in person.

Also is there a better way to decorate these spaces about the units or does that look ok?

I think your units look neat and orderly (I thought I was the only one who sorted my clothes by color). How about this for a coffee table?

My wife and I are working on a "glammy" room as well -- we went with a really dark purple for the wall color and hoping with a light grey rug and silvery curtains it will pop.

Still not done (lot more work on details like rugs, few more mirrors bedding, etc), but here are some pics
