I also would love any help with the exterior paint color choices. I am leaning towards either white dove or china white with some sort of dark color for the trim. Do you have any suggestions? I would gladly listen to any tips you could give me. I am hoping that if we were to do the house a white, black roof and some nice pavers that it would anchor the house well.

So the roof in the photos is old? Can you post a current photo? With a black roof and the long, low roofline of your ranch style home I would keep the siding color light, such as the white you mentioned. A pale gray would also work with a soft white trim.

You're talking about correcting issues with the main entrance to your house. You *might* get lucky with "the paver guy" but you really need a local landscape designer. Cute house, btw. I grew up in a ranch house built in 1958 so I have a soft spot for them.

Well the paver guy just came. Why do you think we need landscaping help ?

You do need landscaping help. A wider walkway that widens as it meets the porch is very inviting. Think of a large group of people approaching at once. You bay window makes it awkward to furnish/accessorize the front porch, maybe your landscape paver project can create a small seating area in front of the porch to open up the entrance.

Exactly what we have decided. Well - almost exactly. We are going to eliminate the tiny step that has become a tripping hazard and just make t all level bringing up the porch/deck higher Level. We will also enlarge the sidewalk to 5 feet wide which will be so helpful for our guests and make the entrance more inviting. It will also sweep down and curve more in line with the shabby little brick path ( that was here before we moved in ) so that people who park on the street will know where to enter. I’m hoping with our new black roof. - new exterior paint job - the pavers will really anchor the house and provide a more welcoming warm feeling.
