Queen bed doesn’t line up with vaulted ceiling

Our queen bed doesn’t line up with the vaulted ceiling so I’m having a hard time deciding what to hang above our bed. At our old house I had a cool circular mirror. Should I hang a set of three pictures or what? (Walls will most likely be painted like gray?)

I have a client who is actually solving the same problem! The bed isn't able to be centered with the vault, so the solution is to intentionally not be symmetrical with the artwork! Try a collection of frames ranging in size but having the same frame color to tie it all together. Have an organic shape to the collection like the second link here. This will bring a focal point for the wall and will make the positioning grounded even if it's not "centered".

Side note....you may consider larger nightstands or dressers on either side of the bed to balance the proportion of bed to wall space. You have so much room you can go bigger for more storage and a larger visual impact!

Just decorate as though it weren't an issue. Something over the bed, then maybe more on the other section of the wall, depending on what goes over there...

Curious to know why you can't move the bed over so it is centered under the peak of the vault. That would make decorating above the bed much easier. I'm sure there is a reason.

The door is on the left adjacent wall. It would be too close to the door. It seems this is the only place to have the bed.

Does it really matter that it is not centered under the peak? The peak is so far above where art would hang that I think it would be a non issue..........running off to see how off centered my bed is.

Thank you Chelsea Burkholder. Great tips! Yes I’m definitely getting new nightstands! I got these about 6 years ago for our first small apartment but haven’t quite found anything that I love yet! I think I will do something non symmetrical! I know the picture isn’t very flattering but I do have a sense of style! Our new house was built in 2006 so I’d love to do a hint of rustic but it just doesn’t really go with the vibe of the house.

Maybe this isn't the right wall for the bed. Hard to know with so little to view.

Balance without being symmetrical above for inspiration. Possibly a larger night stand in width and floor lamp on other side in your space to balance the look.

Thanks for all the replies! I probably would’ve got better pictures if I knew I’d get so many responses! (The last time I posted I didn’t get any responses lol) This wall is the only option for the bed. We have a full wall of windows and the opposite vaulted wall has the bathroom door in the center and the other wall has the entrance door.

One design misconception is that every thing MUST be symmetrical. When designing a space with high walls people often hang pictures or design pieces higher to take up the space. It is actually better to keep these elements at eye level. I love and agree with the idea of playing up the asymmetry by doing a simple gallery wall with a common theme or color to tie it all together. That, paired with the larger night stands will keep anyone from noticing the ceiling. ;)
