Your dilemma is having two focal points opposite of each other. In my opinion, the best way to deal with it is to place your seating facing each other perpendicular to the focal points. Find seating that can either be moved to face the tv (like a swivel or very light chair) and/or a chaise lounge on one side. Use ottomans for coffee table - which can double as casual seating. I realize not ideal, but it's what I would do in this space.

I'm not as concerned with the fireplace being a focal point. Just trying to decide sofas or chairs.

Looks like you tv should go on the wall to the left of the fireplace.

Since your tv is too big to place above fireplace have the sofa placed perpendicular of the fireplace and have the two chairs face the sofa. Is there somewhere else you can the extra chairs?

Here’s another way can you place your tv next to fireplace than yo can place the two chairs on the opposite side of the French doors and the sofa on the long wall.

Can you post a pic of the other side of the room? want to see if there is an entrance as well on that side
